My mind works in interesting ways. A thought comes to mind and hangs around until I act upon it. This concept of a magic wand keeps coming back to the forefront. Wouldn’t it be nice to create a wand, which would repair or fix any business issues or concerns instantly? Perhaps an EASY WAND, what novel idea. Here are some of the issues and concerns I hear about regularly see if any of these resonate with you: 1. Employees won’t do what I ask them to do 2. I can’t find good workers 3. That won’t work in my town 4. I don’t make any money 5. I can’t afford that 6. I am shorthanded today 7. My people will not follow me 8. My people will not work past quitting time 9. Work ethic is gone 10. This younger generation wants everything right now. This list could go on and on that’s enough.
When I started listing all of these issues and concerns there was a common thread that appeared. I see the thread as blaming the other person. A mirror would find the guilty party. So the EASY WAND has to be used on you first.
So here’s the question that comes to mind. If you had an EASY WAND what would you do with it? Then what? Then what? Then what? Come on Gary you’re getting very personal and in my space.
